40 New products with awards  from Vinaria and Foodtech at the Agra 2020 fair

    The first edition of the "New Product for the Bulgarian Market" competition honoured 36 participants at the "Foodtech", "Vinaria" and "Tastes from Italy" exhibitions. They are held at the International Fair Plovdiv until February 23, together with the largest agricultural fair on the balkan peninsula- Agra 2020
The competition featured high-quality products in 18 categories, organizers said. Most of the winners are in the Drinks section - eight in total. Among them are a 15-year-old Bulgarian “Rakia”, Italian lemon and bay leaf liqueur, the most awarded vodka in the world, digestive wine of chokeberry and rose water.

    There are four awards in the category "Nutritional Supplements with Physiological Effect" - for the antiparasitic detoxification complex and for the first aqueous propolis solution. Experts estimate that this is world news - for an immunostimulatory mix and for a superfood that nourishes and cleanses the body.

    Italian antique wheat paste is one of the exotic offerings that has reached the finish line, along with bio pistachio pâté, ginseng coffee, truffle candy, rum infused lukanka, milk threads and others.

   45 were the contenders for the awards in the new competition, and the record number of winners is due to the fact that the products were highly praised by a committee composed of experts and representatives of retail chains.

   The award ceremony took place during the traditional Exhibitor's Evening on February 19 at the St. Petersburg Park Hotel in Plovdiv. The four finalists in the traditional Innovation Contest, presented for the first time.

   In the Wine and Liquor Machines and Technologies section, the winners are world-class innovations - an egg-shaped tank made out of wood and stainless steel and fermentation control software.

   In the food industry category were awarded a cheese evaporator and a hygiene and microbiological control device.

    "The fact that so many companies have competed speaks to the rapid pace of change in these industries. The participants in the three exhibitions always surprise us with their advanced proposals, "said Dr. Ivan Sokolov, Director General of the International Fair Plovdiv.

   The National Exhibition Center has given special awards to companies that have been presenting themselves at Vinaria and FoodTech for more than two decades. Doyen is - Uni.Co with 25 years of participation.

   Visitors can taste the award-winning new products in the City of Wine and Delicacies. Technological innovation is demonstrated in Hall 10.
