RDP monitoring projects will be able to be annexed due to COVID-19

SF "Agriculture" allows beneficiaries of the RDP 2014-2020 to annex the signed contracts. Candidates with contracts under which a final payment has been made and are under monitoring can benefit from the relief. The change is intended to help applicants more easily overcome certain difficulties arising from measures to limit the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each beneficiary can submit an individual request for amendment of the contract for financial assistance under the RDP 2014-2020. It must indicate the period during which the user is prevented from fulfilling the selection criteria, commitments or other obligations, describe in particular what they are and for how long he will not be able to fulfill them. Upon satisfaction of the request, the monitoring period for the specific project will be extended with the time during which the user could not fulfill the commitments.

In case he does not submit a request for concluding an annex, during subsequent inspections by the SFA and finding non-fulfillment of the set activities, the user will not be able to invoke force majeure and extraordinary circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

By extending the monitoring period of the RDP 2014-2020 projects, a flexible approach is applied, which aims to facilitate the applicants in fulfilling their commitments. The SFA management makes every effort to support the work of farmers, agribusiness and municipalities, as well as to assist in the maximum implementation of the RDP 2014-2020.
