The Management Board of the State Fund for Agriculture approved BGN 25,660,000 in de minimis aid for farmers raising cows and / or heifers and / or buffaloes, ewes and / or she-goats.

The emergency aid was agreed at a meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Desislava Taneva and representatives of the sector. The scheme aims to help farmers suffering losses due to drought and the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

Farmers who have received support under the coupled support schemes for animals for Campaign 2019 and submitted a valid application for direct payments for Campaign 2020 are eligible. coupled aid for ewes and / or she-goats (PND3), but not more than the eligible number of animals for Campaign 2019.

The envisaged support rates are:

• up to BGN 40 for the 50th animal, incl. and up to BGN 20 from the 51st animal for dairy cows under selection control;

• up to BGN 40 for the 50th animal, incl. and up to BGN 20 from the 51st animal for dairy cows;

• up to BGN 20 for dairy cows in mountainous areas;

• up to BGN 40 for the 50th animal, incl. and up to BGN 30 from the 51st animal for beef cows and / or heifers;

• up to BGN 110 for beef cows under selection control;

• up to BGN 80 for buffaloes;

• up to BGN 15 for the 200th animal, incl. and up to BGN 10 per 201 animals for ewes and / or she-goats under selection control;

• up to BGN 10 for ewes and / or she-goats in mountainous areas;

• up to BGN 10 for ewes and / or ewe goats that are not under selection control, outside the animals in mountainous areas;

The State Fund for Agriculture is to prepare guidelines for the implementation of the scheme together with the competent directorates of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. After their approval, the instructions will be published on the fund's website.
