In just three working days, after the end of the acceptance of applications for the extraordinary minimum state aid de minimis, granted in support of beekeepers, SF "Agriculture" transferred BGN 4,132,191 to 4,667 farmers with 590,313 bee families. The period in which beekeepers could apply for the scheme lasted from 11 to 24 August. The management of the fund organizes the processing of the documents to take place as soon as possible. 4,920 applicants with a total of 624,000 bee families are eligible for support. The remaining 253 farmers will receive their subsidies after the completion of additional administrative inspections.

At the beginning of this month, the SFA Board approved a budget under the scheme in the amount of BGN 5 million. The support rate for one bee family is BGN 7. The aid is intended to compensate beekeepers in connection with bad weather conditions, the state of emergency and anti-epidemic measures. related to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, as well as due to problems with bee poisoning during plant protection measures, which lead to the destruction of bee colonies. The support will cover part of the costs of the farmers in raising the bee colonies, as well as for reimbursing their losses from the low yields.

The transfer of de minimis subsidies continues.

The total amount of aid under the de minimis scheme that a farmer or enterprise can receive is up to the BGN equivalent of EUR 25,000 for a period of three consecutive tax years.
