     The commissioner pointed out that one of his most important tasks is the reform of the common agricultural policy (CAP).The European parliament voted the new composition of the European Commission and from the beginning of December, it will come into action.

    Janusz Wojciechowski is the new European agriculture commissioner. In the European parliament he showed his satisfaction from the results from the vote, in which, the new EC President Ursula von der Leyen received most of the votes.

“This is a great success for Ursula von der Leyen. The commission will have the opportunity to continue realizing its agenda with greater support from the MPs.“ he said. Wojciechowski stated that a reform in the common agricultural policy is among his first priorities.

“This is a key moment from the whole reform. I will not abandon my efforts to increase the agricultural branch funding” he added.

“I will do my best so the EU can allocate more funds for the agriculture sector, so the CAP can help the farmers better which on the other hand will benefit the environment and climate.” Wojciechowski said.
