The EU expects the lowest rapeseed harvest in nearly 15 years

EU rapeseed production will decline against the backdrop of smaller areas due to farmers' difficulties during sowing, “Strategie Grains” reported.
18.05 instead of the expected 18.46 million tons of rapeseed are expected to be harvested from EU fields in December.
This is 7% more than the 2018/19 MY (16.86 million tons) and the second lowest harvest in terms of production since 2006.
Analysts also predict a reduction in sown area of 5.68 million hectares to 5.55 million hectares against the backdrop of drought, which hinders seeding and the heavy rainfall.
